Contact Lens Prices
At Sheinman we use only lenses of the highest quality, after rigorous in-house testing. As an independent firm, we are not tied to 'own brands' and are free to choose the best lenses available.
Regular Lenses are usually soft lenses that are worn during waking hours and cleaned at the end of each day. They are normally replaced annually and can be a most effective way of wearing lenses.
Frequent Replacement Lenses, replaced fortnightly or monthly, are appealing as lens maintenance is minimised but the cost is greater than regular lenses.
Daily Disposable Lenses, thrown away after one days use, are the most convenient and hygienic and are ideal if your prescription is suitable. They do not need cleaning and solutions no longer need to be purchased.
Extended Wear Contact Lenses are intended for continuous wear (more than 24 hours) and have been used by us for a limited number of patients. They are not ideal for general use and we cannot endorse this type of contact lens wear for most people.
Contact Lenses & Astigmatism Unevenly shaped eyes produce uneven images, whether you are short or long sighted. This optical condition is called astigmatism and we can correct this with special soft or gas permeable lenses (as well as spectacles).
Bifocal Contact lenses Bifocal and varifocal contact lenses, either soft or gas permeable, are available and we fit these where suitable. They work by providing a compromise between the different ranges of sight but this does not suit everyone.
Tinted Contact Lenses Soft contact lenses can be made in many shades, colours and fashion designs. We can even make brown eyes light blue! If creating a fashion feature of your eyes seems an interesting idea we will make sure that you will be safe and comfortable in tinted or 'Phantasy' contact lenses.
Contact Lens Replacement Scheme
Insurance of all types of contact lenses is £21.00 per annum. All insured replacement lenses (unlimited number of duplicate lenses for any reason, eg spares) from £25.50 per lens.
