This June we have welcomed a fun new display along with an exciting addition to our bespoke 3D printed eyewear range.
In partnership with sunspec manufacturer Maui Jim, we have brought the beach indoors! We have a colourful, sand-filled display in our main dispensing area which showcases Maui Jim’s patented Polarised Plus 2 lenses. These eliminate 99.9% of glare while at the same time enhancing colours to give the wearer unrivalled comfort and clarity. They block 100% of UV radiation , protecting the eye and the sensitive skin around it.
Our display features all aspects of the Maui Jim brand, including a brightly coloured model of Jim – the macaw who leant his name to the range!
In 2017, Hoya chose Sheinman to be the first UK practice to pilot their new concept in eyewear – Yuniku. This is the world’s first truly “vision-centric” eyewear because it starts from the point of your prescription and builds everything from there. They use a 3D scan of your face to create a truly unique pair of spectacles.
You can read our blog from the time here.
Yuniku has been through some evolution in the intervening years. Partnering with the frame design elite like Hoet and Orgreen to provide something for all tastes. The latest addition marries the bespoke 3D printed polymer front of the frame with a clean line of lightweight titanium on the sides.
This collection is aptly called UNITi because it brings together two of the most innovative materials in the frame design world today.
Call in to the practice to try this and our many other ranges for yourself! Our opening times can be found here
